Bioluminescence Tour
$ 95 ◵ 2.5 Hours ≣ Aug - Sept
Watch the sky fade and the water ignite on this guided bioluminescence kayak tour. Explore coastal coves and winding shorelines, culminating in a tranquil lagoon as night falls and every stroke sparks constellations beneath your kayak.
-
This evening kayak tour begins as the light softens and the coastline settles into dusk. We paddle along the shoreline past small bays and scattered islets, taking in the shifting colours of sunset and observing wildlife. As darkness falls, we head toward the protected waters of the lagoon, where bioluminescence begins to reveal itself.
These tiny marine organisms emit light when disturbed, creating flashes and glowing trails with each stroke of your paddle. In the shelter of the lagoon, the effect can feel playful and otherworldly - a natural light show sparked by your own movement.
Moonlight influences how brightly the bioluminescence appears: darker nights tend to bring a stronger glow, while a full moon softens the effect but adds its own quiet beauty, casting silver reflections across the water. With stars overhead and the shoreline hushed, this tour offers a rare chance to experience the coast after dark in a safe and unforgettable way.
